I joined the Corporate Treasurer's Council in order to expand my professional network and interact on a regular basis with peers working through similar projects and challenges. Through quarterly meetings and interactive sessions, we are able to discuss and debate the most current topics and issues. The opportunities cannot be duplicated elsewhere.

For 2007, a major endeavor for us is one of the items we discussed at a recent treasurers roundtable - efficient and effective global cash management. This involves identifying the pools of available funds around the world, understanding what restrictions (primarily tax related) may impede their mobility, and putting them to work as soon and as long as possible.
