Privacy Principles

User privacy is extremely important to the Council. CTC adheres to the following privacy principles throughout this Site with regard to its "Users".

Principle 1. Any page on this Site will explicitly state so when it (i.e., the Web page) requires information that personally identifies Users or allows CTC to contact Users directly. Generally such information is requested when registering for "member-only or subscriber-only access" or when requesting a particular service.

Principle 2. The CTC Site may use such personal information to operate its Web site and services and to inform CTC Users of new features, services, and products from CTC.

Principle 3. Certain pages of the Site may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal processes served on CTC or the Site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of CTC, the Site or the Users of CTC, and (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of Users of CTC, the Site or the public at large.

Termination/Access Restriction

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. You hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state courts in Montgomery County, Maryland, U.S.A. or the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland in Greenbelt, Maryland, U.S.A. in all disputes arising out of or relating to the use of this Site. Use of this Site is unauthorized in any jurisdiction that does not give effect to all provisions of these terms and conditions, including without limitation to this paragraph. You agree that no joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship exists between you and CTC as a result of this agreement or use of this Site. CTC's performance of this agreement is subject to existing laws and legal process, and nothing contained in this agreement is in derogation of CTC's right to comply with governmental, court and law enforcement requests or requirements relating to your use of this Site or information provided to or gathered by CTC with respect to such use. If any part of this agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law including, but not limited to, the warranty disclaimers and liability limitations set forth above, then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and the remainder of the agreement shall continue in effect. THE TREASURERS NETWORK Legal Terms and Conditions

1. THE TREASURERS NETWORK is to be used solely for the purpose of networking among members to gain and share knowledge on issues of interest or important to financial professionals and those interested in that field. Any other use is prohibited.

2. CTC has no obligation to, but may, monitor THE TREASURERS NETWORK. CTC reserves the right to remove any subscriber from THE TREASURERS NETWORK who posts a message that, in CTC's sole discretion, is objectionable or in violation of the terms and conditions stated herein.

3. CTC does not control the messages or information delivered via THE TREASURERS NETWORK. By using THE TREASURERS NETWORK, Users agree not to:

   • Post or in any way exploit any information, software or other material for commercial purposes, or which contains advertising;
   • Post any unlawful, threatening, abusive, libelous, defamatory, obscene, vulgar, pornographic, profane or indecent information of any kind, including, without limitation, any transmissions constituting or encouraging conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any local, state, national or international laws
   • Post or transmit any information, software or other material which violates or infringes upon the rights of others, including material that is, or deemed to be, an invasion of privacy or publicity rights or which is protected by copyright, trademark or other proprietary right, or derivative works with respect thereto, without first obtaining permission from the owner or right holder
   • Post or transmit any information, software or other material that contains a virus, worm, Trojan Horse, spyware or other harmful component

4. CTC encourages subscribers to take full advantage of information provided through the Network. However, your choices - and the results thereof - are your responsibility alone. By using or viewing the Network, you agree that CTC is not responsible for any damages (of whatever kind or nature) you may incur by participating in the Network.

CTC has the discretionary authority to discontinue or prohibit the access of any member who does not comply with these terms and conditions.

You agree to use email addresses and all other information gained from THE TREASURERS NETWORK solely in connection with the above stated Terms & Conditions, as well as the intent and purpose of THE TREASURERS NETWORK stated herein.
